Which content can we collect?
Approve access on Google
There's nothing to fill in. You'll approve read-only access on Google's own screen, and we read your channel details from there. AgileData never sees your password.
If your channel is a Brand Account, Google will ask which account to use. Choose the entry for your channel — not your personal email. Picking the wrong one connects an empty channel.

What this covers
This policy explains how AgileData collects, uses, and protects data when you use the AgileData YouTube Connect service to grant AgileData read-only access to your YouTube channel analytics.
Data we collect
- YouTube channel information — your channel name, channel ID, and channel thumbnail, retrieved from the YouTube Data API after you grant consent.
- YouTube Analytics data — views, watch time, audience retention, engagement (likes, comments, shares), traffic sources, geography, and audience demographics, retrieved from the YouTube Analytics API.
- Your email address — the address you were invited with, used only to identify your account within AgileData.
We do not access your Gmail, Google Drive, contacts, Google Calendar, YouTube revenue or monetisation figures, or your Google account password.
How we collect it
We collect this data only via Google's OAuth 2.0 flow, with your explicit consent. You approve access on Google's own screen; AgileData never sees your Google password. You can revoke access at any time at myaccount.google.com/permissions.
How we use your data
Your data is used solely to provide AgileData's analytics service to you — specifically to generate analytics dashboards and reports for your YouTube channel. We do not sell your data, use it for advertising, or share it with third parties except as strictly necessary to operate the service (for example, storing data in Google Cloud infrastructure).
Our use of data obtained through Google APIs complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
YouTube API Services
AgileData uses YouTube API Services. By using this service, you also agree to be bound by YouTube's Terms of Service. Google's Privacy Policy is available at policies.google.com/privacy.
Data retention
We retain your channel connection and analytics data while you are an active AgileData customer. If you revoke Google's authorisation or request deletion of your data, we will remove your stored credentials and associated data within 30 days.
Security
OAuth credentials are encrypted at rest using AES-256-GCM with keys managed by Google Cloud Secret Manager. All data is transmitted over HTTPS.
Your rights
- Revoke access — visit myaccount.google.com/permissions and remove AgileData's access.
- Request deletion — email support@agiledata.io to request deletion of all your data.
- Access or correction — contact us at the address below with any questions about what data we hold.
